Friends Make Games #12

Monday, September 25, 2017
6:30pm - 10:00pm

Location: 862 Richmond Street West

Organizer: Henry Faber

Friends Make Games is Gamma Space’s monthly, inclusive, free and open to the public game development event! All levels of experience and interest are welcome.

Come share your ideas, works in progress, tips, tricks and knowledge with developers of all levels, in disciplines ranging from coding to graphics, sound design to level crafting.

Each event offers micro talks, presentations and informal opportunities for show-and-tell before participants settle in for some open studio time. It’s a great way for community members and the public to get a feel for what Gamma Space members do every day!

Interested in giving a lightning talk for this event? Let Henry know!

Friends Make Games has ambassadors from the Gamma and Dames Making Games community present to help you get to know the community and help you get bearings.

Friends Make Games is about the shared social experience and an opportunity to learn, so bring an open mind and be prepared to roll up your sleeves.

More interested in playing games with friends? We have a companion event monthly called Games Play Friends where you can get together with members of the community and general public to relax and play board and video games. If you’re making a game, you can even get some play testing in with a variety of people.

Friends Make Games was originally rolled into Friends Play Games (formerly Games With Friends, but Zynga really didn’t like that), but we’ve made some important changes. Read about them here for more information.

Gamma Space values and is actively building a space that is woman-/trans/queer-positive, diverse, and physically accessible.

All event hosts have affirmed our Code of Conduct and policy on inclusion.
